That is a looker.  It does look very authentic.  Also, I really like your arrow, the fletching, your point.  Great work, really noteworthy.

how do you do the reflex deflex like that?

I use a jig, a form of wood with the curve cut in. And steam of course about 20-30 min for each bend, depends on thickness of the wood.
I've had those vertical drying checks develop in some of my finished osage bows. No problems, even on the heavy war bows I've made. I fill the checks with super thin CA glue. No failures so far.

Yeah, I did also in this case - thin super glue is really great stuff

fogot to say: the point is slate stone, can easily split in a matching size (thickness), shape is made by knapping, sharpened by grinding;  feathers are grey goose

Ohhh, and sinew popping off came at full draw (not at the first!) with big bang like a gun shot!!!
Has anyone used popped off sinew layers a second time??

Thank you all for your input

Most just reconstitute the sinew into glue but I'm sure you realize this.I've never done or heard of the whole thing reaplied to a bows' back as is.Usually start from scratch with a new sinew job.As is maybe a section at a time reapplied to bows' back with a wet cloth and tin foil wrapped around it,and then a heat gun put to it.After sizing your back of course.Even then I'd trust just redoing the sinew job better myself.Maybe I'm wrong in understanding what your asking.

Nice bow man.  I really like the horse hair.  How do you dye it?  And where can I get horse hair without having a horse?  Great work.
