After 20 some years and many hundreds of bows from dozens of woods, I tried this piece of osage Stingray 45 sent me. I see what the hype is all about. This wood makes itself into a bow and shoots alright too. As someone who backs 90+% of my bows with sinew, I will say. I have no idea why anyone would back this with sinew unless you just like the look of it.

Sweeeeet! Love the backset. I just finished one up myself (pretty much.) My favorite design. I think one reason people back osage with sinew is because they can induce a ton of reflex and add speed, but i've never used sinew or osage lol. Great job, nice bend!!

Sweeet!!!   Another great case in point why osage is rated number one by so many....not many other woods could handle those exact specs n dimensions n bend unbacked....awesome.

Good bow, that's a lot of weight for such a short draw!  Very interesting to see that much bow without sinew.
