Keokuk Blade

Well, our deer season ended yesterday :( so I went right into knapping mode an got this 5"keokuk blade this evening, lots of fun thinning, it's about 5"x1-1/2"x 5/16" Just a nice 5to1 useful blade, a fun blade,no exceptional problems. ;D Thanks for lookin. Bob

Nice blade, Bob. I struggle with Keokuck so I love seeing someone have success with it. Nice edge work and notching.

Because that material is so steppy I had to stepup to a higher quality material! lol anyway that is a very nice point great job!

john, I also sometimes have problems with steps on keokuk, but seem to have gotten better with it. I think strong platforms an solid hits are the answer. I know that things improved for me after I discovered that just because preforms are getting thin ya still need to hit them with authority :o :o :o
