This thread makes my day. Congrats to both Iowa and his son.

I second a nice arrowhead necklace for the boy. No reason it shouldn't accompany him on all his hunts going forward. It'll be a nice reminder of a father son memory and may pass on some of your good luck. Besides, he worked hard today.

Congratulations, John. I always thought any point found that wasn't attached to a stick was an "artifact". I know when I find an artifact, it's mine >:D :). It would make a great necklace or it would be cool to make a repeat performance out of Isaac's bow.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and ringing in on the dispute. I gave him the point and he said the will wear it on this first hunt! He really enjoyed reading all of the post. BTW I field dressed the deer with a flint knife that Stringman made me and the design is really good. That lens shape and short handle were a perfect match.

Congrats on #2, John.  I'm certain that my Dylan would have voted to give Alex the arrowhead.  He says Hi to Alex, by the way.  Dylan tracked a doe earlier this season also.  He had fun too.   ;)
