Sleeve style take down (finished pg 4)

I have never tried a sleeve style take down and thought it was time.I grabbed a set of sisters my buddy Marty gave me last January. They have a nice early/late ratio and decent rings for a stump split. I wanted to try a new profile as well so I whipped up a new caul to try. So far so good. I used 5 ton epoxy and I will let it rest over night. I plan on adding tip overlays and getting it tillered and shooting tomorrow. These sleeves are almost cheatin' their so easy.... ;)

Looks great PD.  You sure can whip up a bow fast...nice skill to have.  Anxious to see that one finished up and shooting.

Lookin good pd. Never had the urge to try a takedown myself but Im sure I will someday. Im sure yours will turn out great.

I bet that shinto works great for shaping the billets to those sleeves.  I love my Shinto.

I love the idea of a takedown bow for out of state hunting. I'll be following this one closely. Looking good PD!   :)

For the record this is a large sleeve set. Its big and quite heavy. I am 6' 2" 210# with very large mits and it JUST fits me enought to be comfy. I suggest the small sleeve for nearly everybody that may want to try one. The mating of the two was easier than I have read as well. If I spent an hour total  fitting them I would be suprised. Thanks guys
