My First Shooter

It's Red oak board bow with white oak backing. 60"ntn about 35# 25". The riser is an assortment of scrap form maple, dougals fir, oak and mohagany on the top.

You might wanna raise the brace height. I learned the hard way that big risers and low brace lead to bloody wrist.

Some better photos.......the tiller one is at 22", it has been pulled to 25" so far.
The top limb is on the right, kind of hard to see the arrow shelf.

I'm afraid your handle may pop off.  It's bending a lot near the handle.

That handle is on good..In your opinion is it bending more on the right or the left..? And then I would have to remove material mid limb correct..? or last third. I konw it's bending more on the right, i checked it with a straight edge. It has taken a little over an inch of set.

that handle may be on good, but if it get's to much bend in the middle it'll pop of, especially as it look's like there is no thickness taper at the fades, Bub

I hear ya Bub. The reason it looks goofy is because I used the riser from Bow#3 that broke.  It was a little on the short side. This is a photo  of the first bow I built what is left of it. It was 5 lams. Oak and maple. At any rate it was the best one so far. But I will use that riser on another bow, or not....

Right limb is bending more, close to the handle.  Make it look more like the left limb.
