It was a beautiful morning to hunt. The wind had stopped blowing and the temperature was 31 and frosty. Saw a small buck chasing a doe but they would not stop for a shot. Around 8:30 this doe and her button buck came in around 20 yds. Finally she stopped and I shot. Just missing her under the chest. They just jumped a few yards and looked around. Then the doe went back where my arrow was and smelled around. This got her a little nervous. She went to swing wide around the arrow and walked right under my tree. I took the shot at 5yds. before she got right under my stand. The second arrow hit her high behind the shoulder and come out just under her opposite leg low in the chest. She went 50 yds and fell. Another great morning in the woods.
