What is the consensus to useing birch for shafting material.
The river of life twist and bends, you never know whats around the next bend till your there

Made several hundred arrows for birch.....no complaints at all. In most cases for bows up to mid 50# 5/16" dia. was real good, and the wood seemed to be real consistant.
