How to keep feathers from getting ruffled?
« on: October 31, 2012, 09:51:46 pm »
Hi guys,

I recently made a plains style quiver, which completely covers the fletching of my arrows. The fletching is perfectly protected when siting inside the quiver, but when I pull the arrow out, the feathers get rumpled. Is there any way to prevent this? Any help would be great! Thanks!

Jon

Stuff more grass down in the bottom of the quiver.

And trim your fletching lower.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Haha I don't think the grass idea will work to well. My in this quiver are only 23.75" total length an they are fletched plains style with 6 inch low cut fletching so a quiver that clears the fletching will be pretty darn short! Any other ideas? >:D
