Shabby attempt with an unknown board.
« on: October 19, 2012, 06:28:47 pm »
Here's a bow which i might give to my cousin. Hes only 5 so i think the looks don't matter too much, also i think his draw will be rather short.(unlike how much i was drawing it in the pic(which i have no idea what his draw is)) I believe it to be no more than 8 lbs and more likely 5 lbs. it does fling an arrow quite nicely and that was also a rather heavy arrow! i think with 1/4" arrows i could have them going much faster. The dimensions on this bow are 33.5" ntn Around 5-8# @ about 15" The back has a brown paper backing, and the knocks are 1/4" wide. I believe that the bow is no greater than 3/8" thick, and thats at the handle. I have yet to seal this bow. Do you guys think this bow would do for a year or 2?(gives me an excuse to make another one  >:D)

His mother will be so happy to see her 2 yr old running around with a weapon!

Nice tiller, MuffinMan.

Looks good. With 2 sisters you might want to put rubber vacumm caps on his arrows.  ::)

be shure to round over all those edges before you give it away, Bub

a little update for you. It has the ability with a 150gr arrow to span the entire yard(about 200ft maybe more) at a 45 degree angle, which is more than i expected out of this little one. I can only wonder(until i make some) what a lighter arrow could accomplish.

I have used vacuum caps from auto parts store. They are not suction cups. They are for blocking off vacuum ports, and come in various sizes from 1/8 up to 3/8.
