i decided it was finally time to make some of my own arrowsfor the bows  i made. i havent even shot it yet through having no arrows. but now the cold weather is approaching it gets me in the mood lol. they are made from 32" 11/32 POC shafts cut down to 30" they have plastic nocks on but i think i will get a jig and try some self nocks. i have 12 shafts so i made 3  arrows to see how they shoot. i have done two with 3.5"fletching really i should of done one at 4" but i got carried away with the 3.5.  and one with a 5" fletch to see which is better. heres some pics. thanks for looking.

They look pretty good.  I had good results with 3.5" long fletchings.  I hope your's fly just as well. :)

     Man, those are saweet!  so which one flys better the one with 3.5 inch
fletch, or the 5 inch fletch?  Nice arrows indeed.

cheers everyone. i have only shot the 3.5" fletched ones so far and they shoot really good very fast and straight. i will try the 5" one soon though.

Nice looking arrows.  ??You only shot the two 3.5, not the 5"??  Man, that takes some self control...or something, I shoot all kinds of different arrows all the time.  ;D dpg

cheers i have shot them all now and they all fly really well. but i think i will stick with the 3.5 in future to save on fletch feathers and there isnt any real difference in performance that  i have noticed. maybe if my garden was longer the 5" fletches may be better at the longer distance. but im no expert so who knows   :)

At distance things level out, the arra isn't paradox anymore. Infact more fletch may reduce accuracy, due to external factors...

If you get good flight with 3.5", then thats all ya need.

Making arras is my most hated part of this whole endeavor... I take that back, losing them is!

What fletcher is that yer usin?
