after-burner points for squirrels
« on: October 12, 2012, 04:37:14 pm »
just thought i'd share these.   i saw them commercially, and tweeked it with a field point.   biggest problem i have when i hit squirrels is finding them after, since they are so tough and don't bleed well with blunts and other varieties i've found.   broadheads stick in tree limbs....every time.    these bounce out every now and then.

these never come out of a squirrel.   never.   i have hit manhy with these headfs, and if you penetrate, the squirrel will hjave a permanent peircing.   feathers and these flares keep the arrow from comming out either way.   hiope this helps someone.

p.s.   be prepared to do the "run down" if your shot is anything but perfect.   the good news is, with this point, you can grab the arrow to take control.  then do what you need to.
Some say freedom is free, well i have to disagree-
some say freedom is won, by the barrel of a gun.

I like it! You should put it up on the small game points post.
