Build time

How much time do you guys spend each day/week/month or year building?
Building includes splitting staves, scraping bark and applying that 19th coat of tru oil.
I'm not talking about completing bows but bowyery related activities. I'm sure we all have bows in various stages of completion.
I myself spend about an hour or two each day doing something that pertains to a self bow.
Some weeks more and some weeks less, like this week.
How bout you?

I will spend sometimes 8 hours or more, and thats after work... Some days, I dont go to bed until 5 am. Cant sleep until I get to that next step, or that problem I am working on is solved....

Good god man!
I find that my work quality suffers if I spend that much time focused on one thing.
Part of my work (income related) involves extremely physical 20 hour days. I get to be a mean SOB then.
If I was building for that long I might come out with a battle axe, not a bow.

I don't make bows until winter time. I don't make as many as I used to make. We'll see. Jawge

I'm like sleek -- come home from work and pick a bow to work on. I'm sitting on my butt all day in front of a computer, so I figure it's good for me.

Most weekdays I get to my shop early so I can put an hour into a bow before heading out to a jobsite and when back at end of day I can't head home without putting in at least 15-20 minutes more on a bow. Some weekend bow work in the backyard when weathers nice but not much. Oh and any time when real work is slow and I'm not hunting or committed to family time.

I am turning family time into bow time. My wife can now tie fletchings and chase rings on osage. My 6 year old is learning to chase a ring, and tiller, and has one bow under his belt already...
