abo fluting jig
« on: October 07, 2012, 08:46:03 am »

Started messing around with abo fluting jigs again. This one shows promise. I've gotten 3" flutes but I am snapping the pieces. Mostly from my laziness. I'm not taking enough time to set up a proper ridge or nipple

Very cool! Jamie, do you secure by hand or do you lash it down for longer flute? I've got a few with high median ridges set aside to flute later. May try this style instead of freehand.

Tracy I do tie it down. I also have a small time that wedges into the end that the tip pushes into. I'm using indirect percussion to drive the flute off

Guess I'm not understanding your meathod 100%. Could you explain in detail?

Thanks, maybe it will help my fluting. I'm terrible at it, that's why I make plainviews.
