HEY Soy!!!

Don't be a-givin' away secrets that I Rightly Stole from somebody else...

 ;D

I haven't tried Filling a crack that big (long and wide) on a working limb yet.
Not to mention, on the back of a working limb...
Please do keep us posted on how well it holds up.

I was withholding all comment until I seen it bent over and displaying the big ol crack.  Now all I can say is man, you really filled that gaping gap!  I thought that "problem child" was pretty cool before, but the 2.0 version is way better!  I don't think that I've ever seen those type of skins on a bow before.  The eyes are pretty cool.  What kind of skin?  Josh

Looks cool man. It does look like a snake.

Interesting, once a bow is almost finalized to shoot a person can sort of cut waves into the side(s) of it and it will still be fine. A person can learn a lot just looking at photos.

edit: oh wait, there are more pages lol.

I'm not sure what you mean by "cutting waves", but if you are referring to the character wiggles Or "snakes" in the bow, then you most definitely can't just cut them in and expect it to hold.  You get the snakes by following the grain of the wood.  Those type of snakes are usually where the wood grew around a knot in the tree.   Just trying to clear up a possible misunderstanding.  Josh

Guessed when you look at the back of a stave you will see the longitudinal grain that runs from end to end,you have to follow that down the center ,then lay the bow out from that center line, that is what gives you the curves. Some wood has straight grain so not much curve and you can just lay out a bow with mostly straight lines, other pieces have the curves/Snake in them. Not trying to hijack this thread but that needs to be clear, especially for those that are just starting out.
Beautiful bow for sure.Very nice job. :)

People sure seem fond of this bow, Soybeans.  Or are you paying to have them say good stuff?  If that's the case, I'll chime in, too.  Lemme know when you send the check!
