String nocks

Are the string grooves generally cut at 45 degrees..?
And what if you steam bend the tips slitghly around 10-15 degrees..? Are the nocks still cut at 45 degrees..?

I always cut mine at a 45, even if I flip the tips.  Don't know if it's right or wrong, but it seems to work for me.

That's how I cut mine,I guess close anyway,I measure down the limb where I want the top side of the nock and draw a line ,then down 1/2 inch and draw a line the tie the 2 together 45 or close to it. Flipped tips or not.

I generally measure 1" down on the belly and 3/4" on the back. That gives about 45deg(I've never measured it) but then adjust the string groove as I'm final shaping the tips so the string rides smooth in the groove whether at brace or full draw. Like Pappy I do this on all bows, straight or recueved.

I measure down 1/2 in, draw a line across and then measure down 3/4 inch. Draw a line across. Draw a diagonal line. Cut the nocks. More on my site. Jawge
