Thank you for the kind words, fellas. This whole thing was just an experiment so I could tell for myself if I liked the wood. It's real good so far......the biggest difference I did notice is the red seems to make a lighter (dry weight) than the white did. I dont know how ya'll do the backs and belly but this one I did low crown back (allmost like a shallow trap) and the belly got a more shallow crown but still crowned. Did not have any issues with splintering or excessive set either.

sa, ya I would/will for sure. My neck of the woods has so many good bow woods it will not be my main wood, but I'd use it for sure.
