New Video Adrienne Shooting .....Adriennes Hunger games Bow
« on: September 05, 2012, 06:43:32 pm »
Packed up My bow and Adrienne's and went to the range to meet her and her dad. Keep in mind she is eleven and standing next to me at six feet plus!!! I think we have a warrior princess in the making. She is a very disciplined young lady and after a little bit of instruction this is the result..... No A.D.D. here :)

---------------------------------------------------------------

One of my coworkers daughter Adrienne saw the Hunger Games movie and started bugging her parents for a bow. They bought an inexpensive glass bow at the sporting goods store and she has really gone after it. I like to build bows but a person can only shoot so many so I give to give them to people that show an interest. Anyway here is Adrienne's bow. It's Osage 56" Nock to Nock 19/20@25....  to play it safe the bow will tolerate 27"s of draw and I backed it with rawhide before I put the skins on. It's most likely over kill but it's a kids bow and I don't want any problems. I made groves for a stringer so the skin might hold up better. It's finished with truoil then spar for more durability. The little bow actually shoots with some authority and it the same weight as her little glass bow. When I get some arrows for her and give her the bow I'll post more pics....  Hope she likes it.......  Thank for lookin ...

Oh yea I put some nice Copperheads on it to doll it up some.....  :)

Ain't it cute :)

Nice looking bow! You did a great job on it. She's going to love it.

The Hunger Games has been very good for archery.

That is a beauty!  Good on ya two times! One for making it for her in the first place and the second for not cutting any corners on it because its a kids bow.  She will be ecstatic to receive such a fine gift!  Josh
