Well I have never hunted in the early season before and decided to give it a go this year. I knew it was a long shot with food still readout available for them and thick underbrush still here but man I haven't seen one deer at all when two weeks ago I was seeing 8-10 of them hating around where I hunt.I tell ya those deer are smart. They always now when hunting season is on. And I have been dying to try a bow that I've made out of some oak that's been seasoned for a year. I think it pulls 50#@28" I can't be 100%on the draw weight BC I don't have a scale but that's what it feels like to me BC I normally draw at 50-55#. Anyway as far as the deer are concerned I may wait until later in the season but then I can't back away from a challenge. It goes against my nature.
