I would like to know if anyone has any idea what the material is.  My mom brought it back from colarodo area for me.  Thanks for the help

Looks like some good rock, hope it's bigger than the picture. Kinda looks like Jasper. When I lived there that's about all I could find that was knappable.

The peice is about the sive of a a 24 count crayon box just not as thick.. It is really nice smooth as butter i am just holding back on hitting it.  The only problem is that with the weather setting in up there i will not be able to get any more untill spring now..  My mom just brought this one piece she said there was alot more laying around and bigger pieces..  May have to take the back seat out of my jeep when i go and fill it up..

When i go back will be the busy time of the year for you but i will let both of you know when i go my mom is always finding artifacts and she brings me small flaks not much to work with it is just about 18 miles from there house..
