Ash bow for Eugine.
« on: September 02, 2012, 11:45:10 am »
Hi there!

Eugine wished a bow for her 10 anniversary, so i went to work.
I took a piece of common Ash ( Fraxinus excelcior) and made a little Bow of it.

139,5 Cm. NtN
3,5 Cm wide
0,8 cm wide at the nocks
20#@20"

unbraced, took some set

brace height

Fulldraw  ;)

I stained it (Wallnut) and then sanded the belly:

Handlewrap with some thin leather, some pearls and feathers for dekoration:

Nocks

And without some ammo such a bow is pretty boring for a 10 year old lady

So now i have to send this bow and arrows from Austria into Switzerland, hope the customs are not spoiling this...

Best regards,

Leo

Nice job, Leo. I'm sure she'll love it!!

Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?
