Raining today so I took some time to spilt some turkey feathers and fletch a few dogwood arrows from some shoots I cut back in early feb. of this year. One is three fletch primary, one two fletch small primary no glue and one is three fletch secondaries blunt carved down
from a fat shoot, ( a squirrel thumping arrow), All sinew wrapped front and back and self nocks cut in.
Put 125 grain field points on to test shoot and they fly really well out of my 57# lilly lake osage bow. Weigh in at 565 & 580 grains,
will likely be fitted with hunting points soon. The fire hardened blunt came in at 500 grains and I'll see how it shoots tomorrow at the range. Have some stone hunting points coming from Ryan (twisted limbs) and I am excited about Oct. 1 opener.
Thanks for looking,
Greg
