ABO Notching Tools?

Just curious what you guys are using to notch ABO style? Photos please, if you have them. Rick B

This is a point I made 10 mins ago. It is long thin and is 125grains . It is a hunting point so I dont notch deep. It took 20 mins to make this point. The only tool I use to notch is a dull ulna bone.  I pop down the platform. Takes about three mins to notch a point.

I saw a guy on a video use a beef rib with the working end split so the inside(marrow) and outer edge were removed only leaving the thicker inside edge of the rib.    It was on the Roger Warmuskerken video.  have fun, dpg

Here's a couple vids where I'm using a stone flake as a notching tool.  I've used stone. bone, and antler and stone is my favorite notching tool.

Thanks to all for posting photos of tools - and the video was a great help. I've been notching with antler tines mostly but think I will try to find a deer ulna bone and add it to the tool box. Rick B


Here's a photo of what I've been using. Leather pads, dogwood billet, hammerstones, ishi stick with white tail antler tine, billets and flakers made from moose & deer antlers.
