Eastern Red Cedar billits

I have 4 sets maybe 5 sets of Eastern red cedar up for trade.  If there is any interest let me know and I will send you some up close photos.  These were cut in April and the bark was peeled then ends sealed in Elmers white glue and back with shellac.  They are anywhere from 38" to 42" long give or take.

Where did you find cedar with such consistently thick heartwood and thin sapwood? Where I live, the sapwood/heartwood ratio is like a gamble, sometimes it will even be like 10" thick sapwood on one side of the tree, and 1" on the other side of the tree. I don't even cut it just cause you never know what you will get.

This was being cut by a tree cutter and I was able to get it.  Took my time and got the good ones I saw.  Most were short like this.  The long logs were got to before I could get back with my trailer.

Got my pair today and they smell great!  They also look like they are going to produce a wonderful takedown. 

I'm glad I jumped in on getting a pair of these billets!
