Need help shipping to England

Does anyone have info about shipping a bow from US to England?  Length, weight and approx cost? Is a PVC pipe OK to ship in?

I've never had a Bow from the US (only staves) but I remember S.Stratton got a Nice WarBow from Marc St Lewis a few year back,maybe worth a PM to him on the shipping procedure.
