Fellas, this is what I came up with for the rest of the timber rattler skin I got from Howard. It's American Elm, self bow, 54" ntn, rigid handle (glued on from the same quartersawn). It draws 52# @ 27". The bow has taken about 3/4 to 1" of set. The edges and a small part of the belly are "cammo painted". I guess the overall shape is closest to an American flat bow.
The bow draws real smooth all the way back, with no stack (at 27"). after a few hundred arrows everything is still lookin good, and hasn;'t lost any weight. I find the grip shape "odd" after shootin all the flat bows so it'll probably get a new home. Enjoy the pics.....2 sets cause of the "6" rule.
