it shoots and the tiller will not cause a failure... more pics will come after finishing. it is blue beech w/ rawhide backing 54 in tip to tip, 34 lbs at 22 inches. it is going to be given to a 6 year old who just got interested in archery, the build story will come with the finished pics

right when i got the tiller right it started taking set at the fades so i heat treated the fades and put  a little reflex in them... blue beech sucks up moisture like a wet sponge, i will need to seal it very well

P.s. The 6 yr old is only drawing 16" to about 20lbs

Looks pretty good!  However, if its for a six year old, you might want to lighten it up to about 15# to 18#.  It would take a pretty stout 6 year old to pull that bow as is.  Josh

it is about 18lbs at 16in which is what i assume his drawlength... 22 is just my drawlength ;D ;D... i know, im short :'(

Thanks guys, now that I look at it the outer upper limb could use some scraping... Should I do it? Hmmm i may be pushing my luck

What Mike said,looks really good for a first.Wishe my first looked anywhere near that good. :) A little lighter would probably be better for a 6 year old. :)
