Coastal Plains chert?

I picked this stone up at the Johnson City knap-in. The gentleman I got it from thought it was Coastal Plains, but he wasn't real sure. What ever it is it knaps great. Hope y'all enjoy this Montell point.  Tower

dude that thing is ....UGLY!!  C'mon now, don't go posting garbage like that on here or else you'll just turn people off to flintknapping.   Mine look so much better than that....they have a width to thickness ration of 1/1.  They're so thick  they're basically a ball.  Edges are dull as hell and I use them for paperweights cause they sure can't be used for hunting.  Now, see if you can beat that..... then I'd REALLY be impressed!!   ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
