Should have mentioned he did straighten befor sanding the nodes, only fine tuned straightness after.

Yes, straighten first, then sand if you want. There will be a final fine tune straightening, but that's to be expected and won't be much.

agree with pearl drums cane or boo can dramatically change spine from one side to the other..if self nocked you will only lose a 1/2 inch if that...first check the spine on the side you rotate...or just make some more arrows...gut
