"Wickistik"
« on: July 22, 2012, 04:41:36 pm »
Here is the finished product that started with nasty 25 yr old billets from Chuck (CTT).
The bow finished at 61" ttt, 42 + @ 28". I added 3 layers of back sinew and hideglue. The back is covered with ONE Rat snake skin, big sumb****!. The head is towards the top tip. The overlays are rosewood.

Here is my recipe:

Old nasty,azz Billets - CTT
Billet assembly - MWiricki
Sinew - Gus
Hide glue granuals - MWiricki
Rat Skin - Cippy
Overlay material - Seabass
Thanks to all of you for your kick butt materials. It was fun putting this one together. It all started last December with a, "think ya' can get a bow from them?" from Chuck.  Yup......WE can!

Another name for that bow would be "Broken Drum"...because you can't beat it!

That's a real looker, Pearlie!! I was beginning to think you were injured or on vacation or something. You're way off your quota, man!! ::)

That's another fine looking bow!  I usually let these big ole rat snakes pass through unmolested, but the next one is going to have to be a part of my next bow.  I agree, that rat snake is good camo!

I'll bet my parents wished they could've turned me into something as useful as that when I was 25! Great work Chris. I have to agree, the skins are fantastic camo.
