Bow refinishing

by pits i mean the grains of the wood that are cut on an angle, like if you cut a board and try to paint it and it has the little indents, that stuff, and its a satin finish originally, and im going to do light coats, then after i get a few on each side, try to figer out a hanging method, maybe a long string in the string notches and hang it from the ceiling and give her a few coats that way, but if it has no angle the finish will form drips and ruin the finish lol, might angle it, any suggestions?

If I'm putting a handle wrap on I use a squeeze clamp on the handle, then I attach the clamp to my shop winch and put it at the height I want. Then spray.

ok thanks, that seems like a good idea, i have a deer hanger i may use that, that way i can had a string nocked and spray away lol
