. I was waitin on the arra's - finally got em done, shew!! This is all I have been able to muster thus far. Don't have a quiver - will just have to do like Jamie this year and have two in the hand and one on the string - course should only need one right?, yeah right. Will prolly use the hic bow - it packs a littel more punch. Wish I had an osage....

Opening day,Sunday,and Monday,ant decided on the quiver yet.I swap around a lot as you
can see.

I plan to start with my little sinew backed bow if it ant raining,then I will probably go with something else.

Pappy - you got more bows, arra's, quiver's than you can shake a stick at. Like that little bow, don't recall ever seeing that one, good luck huntin!

Thanks cowboy,I posted it last year sometime,It is a sweet little bow,took 2 deer with it last year
it handles good from a stand.The only problem was the sinew came up on the tip when I would get it wet so I trimmed the sinew back about 4 inches and put some horn tips on it so that should
take care of that problem.Very nice set up jamie,looks deadly.

Real nice set ups everyone, I would get pictures of mine, but I don't know where the camera charger/transfer dock is..... try to get them tomorrow.

Here's what I'm using. 50# white ash board bow, 2 shoot nutters, 5 trade points made with metal from VB, first 3 are mounted on cane from bob, last 2 are
homemade ash shafts, all are fletched with eastern turkey. And of course Dane's custom bow sock.

All right, I finally got the pictures, here they are. I'm shooting my Osage character bow, with a few modifications to it, some of you might have seen it at Mojam.
The arrow in the picture is the first I have made for this fall, it's my hog arrow

. It weighs just under 600 grains, a ton for my 46 lb 24" draw bow! If I get close, though, it'll do the job better than a lighter one. The head is out of metal from VB, great stuff!

btw, after modification, the above mentioned bow (the same one I did the build-along for) is 58" long, 46lb@24" and shoots better than any of my other bows I've made yet.

Was looking at your set up and wondered what the silencer looking tuft of fur at the nock was for???

I just added it to go further towards silencing the bow, as I had a hog jump the string last year (even though I wasn't going to hit him anyway...

....).
So I think from that experience I'm a bit overly cautious this year.
