SCA full compass
« on: July 09, 2012, 11:41:04 am »
I was contacted by a young lady from Michigan about a bow for re enactment (SCA - Society for Creative Anachronism). A few e-mails later I started an osage circle tiller bow to her specs. I asked that she send me a photo to help with inspiration. As you can see it was a lot of help...

Here is what I came up with; 61 NTN, 41 @ 24

I have really started to like these circle tiller work in the hand bows

You seem to have these down now Shaun.  Looks like it will fit her style just right.  My favorite style and you did good.

Huzzah!, m'Lord!

Ya really nailed that tiller, didn't you?  That should be a very sweet shooting bow!  I would wish the shooter a long life of shooting Robin Hoods, but the arrows are pretty cool, too.  Hate seeing arrows die without blood on 'em.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

That bow is just about as perfect as I could possibly get. I'd love to shoot this one!

Added one last touch per new owner's request, a handle. Suede out red deerskin with thread wrap ends - no arrow rest.
