Heres a bow I made a couple years ago. Black walnut sapling approx. 1 1/2" wide, stripped bark, roughed in bow and clamped on bench to dry in natural deflex/reflex shape that sapling already had. About 5 weeks later tried to dry heat more reflex into outer limbs and tillered. Cracked belly side of levers when trying to heat reflex in, patched cracks with rawhide and sinew wraps. Has kind of a wonky unbraced profile and tips/outer limbs are a little wide and heavy but is a pretty accurate bow and shoots fairly nice. Longest bow i've made at 64" , approx. 53# @ 26", deerskin handle wrap, beaver fur at arrow pass, dyed and spar varnished finish. Thanks for look'n.
