I think you can get away with about 45 degrees of twist without too much worry, especially if it's a wide bow. It just needs a little care during tillering.
Heat straighten or tiller it twisted, there's no right and wrong, just do what interests you the most.
My best shooting bow is 'Twister', this is how it looked in the early stages.
If you do tiller it without removing the twist, leave the tips a bit wider with temporary nocks, that will give you room to adjust the string line as you progress and the limbs settle down.
