Wife's first bow (pics added)
« on: June 30, 2012, 07:47:13 pm »
Hi all,
Just put the finishing touches on my wife's first bow.  I actually was making this for myself, my first try at an ELB designed bow.  Since all I had long enough was a red oak board, I made it 76" for insurance against massive follow.  Turns out, when I cut the limb taper, and a 3/4 board that long, it gives you automatic tiller, at 25# @ 25".  So, I asked my wife if she wanted to shoot it, she has never shot before, at all.  Her first three shots were a bit iffy, but after that she started to get the hang of it.  All in all it was a successful experiment.  The handle decorations are hawk bells and crow feathers.

Full draw pics will come tomorrow, sorry.

Not bad. Nice job on the handle, too!!
