Very last flake frustration

I want to kick myself.  The very last flake and it was done.  Oh well on to the next one.

That's a real shame...I've really struggled with Agate and have had that happen to all the pieces I've worked on, maybe my cook temps were too high and made the stuff too brittle.

Very pretty stone and it was a good point.  Too bad.  I guess knapping is a lot like making bows...if you aint breakin, you aint makin...

got a bunch of em like that but i usually wait till i have em serated and break em while notching. Too bad it was such fancy rock.

I feel your frustration! We all say it's just a rock until it's finished, but some breaks still hurt. That is some gorgeous rock. Sorry it happened to you. Better luck next go around.

Very pretty.  Superglue works great.  I have done it to dacite and some of the texas rock.  With most of them, I let them set over night to completely dry and finished the point the next day.  Instead of running the flakes straight with the break, I run them at a little bit of an angle across the break.
