It might be called pursane or something like that. It is a common weed I believe.

It is called purslane and yes it is edible. I've not tried it but have seen it at farmers markets.

purslane is correct and it is edible I have heard that people like to cook it with onion.

Purslane and it usually grows in gardens or fresh worked up soil, I see it in my garden an laugh at all the people weeding it just pick it an put in your salads, very tender an supposedly nutritious. Don't fight it eat it. ;D ;D Bob
