Trade bow I got from Weylin
« on: June 22, 2012, 02:36:37 am »
Opened up a PVC pipe that arrived on my doorstep and was blown away by what was inside. I saw his post in PA trade topic and thought it looked like a nice yew long bow. When I saw it in person I realized how well made it was. I posted some pictures to try to do justice. Weylin told me this is only the 4th bow he has made and the first one with no guidance. This bow shoots as hard and well as anything I have made in over 20 years. Love having a new and different bow to shoot.
The bow is Cascade Oregon yew with ebony tips. 67" ntn and about 62# at 26"

I'm really glad you like it. It was a fun challenge to make and it looks like it ended up in the right hands. Have fun shooting it!

Congrats Chuck....kinda. :'(  Another lefty out there besides me. I guess I can quit stalking the mail lady, now. Great job Weylin. Really nice piece of work.

Some guys are just naturals. Great tiller and finish. I imagine it was very hard to send that bow off.

Nice bow Chuck!  Nice work Weylin.  It was a nice to see that bow in person.  it is a beauty.

I was priviledged to be able to handle that bow before Weylin sent it out. It is every bit as good as it looks!

That bow is sure something to behold. It's obvious that a great deal of care, a good eye for detail and a high level of skill went into it's making it. I'm sure you'll enjoy that one, congrats.

Looks like Weylin needs to start giving advice on here instead of asking for it!!!  That's one beauty!
