Not sure if it is the same, but I pick Ramps in the spring.
I like them okay, but my wife LOVES them. We usually have enough feeds until our sweat starts to stink and call it enough. Lots of people sell them up here, a small bunch is about $6. Still not sure why you would pay for them when they are in almost every hardwood lot around. I know in Quebec they are protected because the resturants go crazy for them as they are the first true green vegtable here after the snow melts.
My boys like digging them during turkey hunting but they won't touch them, but that is the same for all vegtables.
