My first try
« on: June 14, 2012, 12:27:48 am »
As some of y'all know i like to paint my grandmother was a pro at painting and for her memory I try to keep the passion alive in my self so my sister gave me a huge stack of books that was hers. I found a sweet book on painting seascapes in sharp focus with oils. I always wanted to learn sharp focus painting so here is my first try at a wave I didn't have oils to paint with and I didn't want to break the bank on buying a full set of paints  so I used my acrylics on this one I think it's pretty good. What do y'all think?

That looks good, lets see more.

I was a half fast artist once upon a time, not a lot of natural talent. I found that art was mostly about learning the technique to make the desired effect look believable, then practicing this technique over and over until you get it right.

Looks like you have it right, nice painting.

Nice job. You can do that. I would work this skill some more if I had that talent.

The water truly looks like it is going to splash out and get you soaked.  Great lighting
