Been shooting at 3-d shoots all summer now I'm ready for the real thing. Hung a stand today and when I was leaving house I saw a turkey about 40 yards from one of my other stands.

Season starts here Oct. 1... hope there is still corn standing where I put stand today!!

You have to admit seeing 15-20 wild turkeys, mostly gobblers, on a golf course is like a picture some guy sent up to heaven and said when I die I want to hunt and play golf!   ;D  Wish I had been able to get pics of the golfers with the turkeys just walking around.... :D

I cleared a path to a stand behind my house this weekend and decided to sit and relax a while in the stand after I got there a little after 10:00am. After about 10 minutes I had a doe pass by within 15 yards, too bad season wasn't open yet.

I think I'll have opportunities, just hope I can make good on them. :)
