Hello all... Its been a lil while since i have even got on the site. Took a lil brake from making bows too but had a beautiful day here in washington today and a day off so decided to make a bow for my beloved. Its osage that I cut down jan this year. natural air dry. Resting shape of bow is almost exectly how tree grew. Was a lot of fun to make. Resting it has 3" reflex. 35lbs @ 28", 67" ttt. 1 1/2" at widest. Has a knot hole through bottom limb, and knot in the side of the top limb. Tree was originally 3" in diameter. Excellent bow for a 35. Wife like it too. And thats what really matters. Enjoy.

Good to see you post a bow again! :)  Is that a sapwood tip "overlay"?  Very nice.  Looks like a sapwood ring on the back too.  Love the bow!  I hate to tiller that much reflex.

Yes the tips are sap wood and the ringthat I decided to run with is the first heart wood ring and some of it hasnt quite yet transformed. Has a nice look to it

Nice bow.  And I really like the sapwood tips, I may give that a try, if I can remember to save some when I start drawknifing the sapwood off.

Very nice bow,the wood is beautiful and tiller and finish work looks good also.She should love that. Bet it is smooth and will spit an arrow. :)
