preparing raw sinew

Anything need to be done to beef tendon besides remove the red meat and fat before drying for use as sinew.

I've never used beef, but on deer, I just cut them out, remove any meat, and then set them out to dry.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

They're kind of stinky, greasy, and harder than necessary to strip. But the coyotes like to dig up the legs after ya say they aren't worth messing with, bury them, and go back to using white tail tendons. It's good to experiment, that's the way we learn, so give it a shot, and good luck.
