Struggled a bit

Tried a leather hand pad on this one and I don't like the way it feels. I had a hard time holding it to drive some thinning flakes. ended up thicker in the middle that I like.

What? Man that's killer! Perfect weight, symmetrical, even like the color. Tower

I like that point and it looks great. Not all points have to be thin. The st charles points are thick and beveled on one side and then fliped and beveled again.

I've been trying to make my hunting points thicker lately. Otherwise they come out 100gr or less. That one will hunt great!

I'll struggle every time if they turn out like that! Good looking point Bevan!

That is a nice point. Got to be a little thick to get the weight. ' Frank

We all are our own worse crittics! That's a great looking point! Ya know, i just started experimenting with a leather hand pad. Have always used a notched rubber one, am liking the results..

I don't like the feel of this leather pad. The only think I do not like about the soft rubber pads is that they wear out kind of fast. I have gone through 2 now (started late Feb/Early March). I am thinking of taking the used rubber pads and cutting off the 'bad" side with my bandsaw and gluing on some leather to see if that would work.
