draw length ?

well, i'm building a bow for a gift, the guy shoot's a f@#^&ass recurve and say's he has a super long draw, well i aint makeing a bow that draw length, most of these guy's just dont know how to shoot a wood bow imho, anyhoo, i'm thinking the best way to keep him from drawing from here till tomorrow is to give him some arrows that he can't overdraw, what do ya think, Bub

Probably that odd ball pull it behind your ear and spy down the arrow clinic everybody seems so anxious to pay for.

Yup, I make my arrows so they can't be overdrawn, and if I let anyone shoot my bows, I insist they use my arrows.
I reckon a lot of people waaaaay overestimate their draw. Put it this way, I've never yet met anyone who drew longer than they said.

  Gary Davis just finished up an osage bow drawing 120#@36". Maybe he will sell it.

I seen that HOG Steve. Its seriously a typical Gary bow, just super-sized. All to scale even.

I've seen very few true draw lengths over 29".  I know there will immediately be 6 guys posting theirs is longer, but we have something like 14,000 people registered here, what's the ratio?

How tall is he?  With his height we can make some reasonable guestimates.  More reasonable than say....36 inches!  LOL

I bet his shirt size is 17 X 36.....  I dunno...  I have pretty long arms and am 6"4" tall, and my draw length is 28".  I probably used to say it was a little longer, but I have shortened it a bit since going to selfbows, and since I found an anchor point that I can reliably repeat.

Just make it 100LBS at 28" and see if he can get it back to his 36" draw
