Natural Camo Primitive Bow
« on: May 17, 2012, 06:59:41 pm »
This is a 62 inch elm self bow that I want to share with readers because it has kept such a nice back set.  It pulls 43# at 28 inches.  It has kept a 1.5 inch just unstrung back set despite my full 28 inch draw length.  I left just enough inner bark on it to take a lot of stain and give it a natural camo pattern on the back.  It should be a perfect turkey bow!

That's nice David.  Is that a cut-in shelf on a bendy handle???  Is that a common practice for you?  don't think i've seen it, but i suppose elm can hold up against it.  I like the back camo effect too :D

Nice bow, David. Looks smooth!!
