How do you make a bowyers knot..? are there any photos or videos on making one..?

A bowline knot is completely different from a bowyers knot! I would seriously discourage you to use a bowline knot for a bowstring, as you will never get this knot out.

You need to make a timber hitch.

I guess I have to disagree. A properly tied bowline is acctually easy to untie.
I was just looking at a knot site and I like the looks of a Yosemite Bowline. Now that one would be nasty to untie, but I think it would be a pretty good loop for a bowstring.
