BJ, thanks for bring back the Point of the Month. Got to busy last month and missed out. I found a nice straight flake of Flint River and just started messing around and ended up with a odd shaped stem point, kinda uni faced to boot.  :o Bob

1 3/4" long , 7/8" wide, 5/16" thick
I did not recognize that the tip broke off, ...so this became resharpened.

Me to. I hope someone post a new point for next month. Really enjoy this and it really does make me better by making me make a certain point. Besides that it's just plain fun.

For August, how about a hafted end scraper - AKA blunt or stunner? The first two in the photo are finds and the third one I made from NC rhyolite. In most cases the end scraper was made from a broken then re-worked point. I'm sure you guys have some broken points laying around that you can use or just make one from scratch. Rick B
