If folks want to make some other kind of points than a Montel or Andice, I'm happy to make something else. I'd have expected that someone would have made a point by now. Hope I didn't jump the gun. Maybe people are just busy deer hunting?

I am nowhere near good enough to try that.  It pretty much requires punch notching huh?.

Papoints, I  actually think punch notchs are easier than reg notching. I use a 7018 welding rod that the flux has been knocked off from, also a pretty small dia. I flatten the end so it looks like a reg flat head screw driver with a little notch in it to set on my platform. Make sure your platform is below center . I also use a board on my lap as a table and put my point on top of my hand pad with the notch just hanging over the edge of pad. Give a sharp rap and a nice C flake comes out the bottom, keep your notch square an the corners clean. I had a small problem area on this point where i let my platform get to rounded an it stalled. Once i got it going again it was pretty routine. I have also used a large horseshoe nail for this. Give it a try on some of your debitage flakes. ;D Bob

Tryed for another Andice today , came up a little short on my notching, finally stalled an just could get them to go again :( Needed to get my base thinner, any way here it is.  Not one of my better points :-[ :(.  Bob
